Comunidad, if you’ve been closely following everything that’s been happening in Gaza and doing your part to take action and demand for a ceasefire, then it’s understandable to feel like everything else in our lives should be in a standstill like work, school, appointments, meetings, extracurricular activities for our kids, etc. But on top of witnessing everything that’s tragically unfolding before our eyes, many of us also have individual issues that are creating stress and tension in our lives and need to be addressed at home and in our families.
Because we’re approaching the season where many of us spend more time with loved ones and extended families, we’ve typically highlighted our A Mi Manera: Setting Boundaries with Others While Parenting during this time of the year.

In holding reverence for what’s happening in Gaza and honoring our responsibility in ending colonial violence, we would still like to share our A Mi Manera Workshop at a more accessible price of $20 (a 57% discount from its usual price of $47).
We’re also launching our Giving Tuesday campaign earlier this year. Therefore, we will be donating HALF of ALL enrollments to the Urgent Relief for Gaza’s Children Fund to ensure our babies and children in Palestine get the emergency care they so desperately need.
The other half of the enrollments from this workshop will tremendously support us in keeping our organization alive, continuing the work we're doing, and ensuring everyone on our team is taken care of.

"Every time I listen to Leslie speak I feel so seen and understood and less alone. It's a lot to process at times, but every single time I take a course with her, I learn something new about myself that has allowed me to move forward on my healing journey with more self-compassion and understanding. In the end, I feel like a better mother and more confident that I am doing my part to break toxic generational patterns and trauma. Mi Manera especially helped by helping me realize the impact that physical, emotional and sexual abuse have on our psyche's even when "removed" by one or two generations. The hurt and the scars remain, and the impact continues, but acknowledging it and doing this hard work allows healing to happen and its impact to lessen."
This workshop is for you...
If you grew up in a household with parents and caregivers who placed the importance of “respect” to others (particularly other adults) above your personal comfort and needs, chances are, you’re now an adult who struggles with setting boundaries in firm, yet kind ways.
Now, as a parent or caregiver, you’re having to pump the breaks when a relative gets too touchy-feely with your child, or constantly gives you parenting advice that is not aligned with your values of nonviolence.
Setting boundaries is a constant practice. When you enroll in our A Mi Manera Workshop, you’ll gain the tools to use your voice confidently and learn how to model setting boundaries for your children, as well. By setting boundaries in a firm and kind way, you’ll be able to strengthen your relationship with your children and the other adults in their lives.
